Hunthopper is a platform that allows organizers to create and run interactive real-world games with locations, challenges, teams and live scoring. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Hunthopper.

2. Data we collect

To run the service, we may collect the following categories of data:

• Account data: name, username, email address, and login-related details.
• Game data: team names, submitted challenge answers, scores, and uploaded media for gameplay.
• Billing data: invoicing name, company details (if applicable), billing address, VAT number (if applicable), and payment administration details.
• Technical data: browser, device type, IP address, and basic usage logs required for security and reliability.
• Location data: precise GPS coordinates collected while completing location-based challenges. Location is only accessed during active gameplay.
• Device data: device token used to deliver push notifications.
• Media: photos and videos captured or uploaded as part of challenge submissions.
• Audio: microphone input recorded as part of video challenge submissions.

3. Why we process this data

• To provide the platform and run games correctly.
• To manage accounts, teams, scoring and support requests.
• To process billing and comply with legal accounting obligations.
• To protect the platform against abuse and maintain security.

4. Retention and deletion

Game-related data is automatically deleted two months after a game has ended, unless we are legally required to keep specific records longer (for example, certain invoice data). If you request immediate deletion, we remove eligible data permanently.

5. Sharing with third parties

We do not sell personal data. We only use limited service providers where needed to run Hunthopper (for example hosting or payments), under confidentiality and data protection agreements.

6. Mobile App Permissions

The HuntHopper iOS app requests access to the following device features:

• Location

  The app accesses your precise location to unlock and complete GPS-based challenges. Location is only used during active gameplay and is not tracked in the background.

• Camera

  The app uses your camera to capture photos and videos as challenge submissions. Media is only captured when you actively take part in a challenge.

• Microphone

  The app accesses your microphone to record audio as part of video challenge submissions.

• Push Notifications

  The app may send push notifications to inform you about game updates, new challenges, and results. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.

7. Third-Party Services

The HuntHopper app uses the following third-party services:

• api.video: video submissions are uploaded and processed via api.video. Videos are stored for the duration of the game and deleted in line with our retention policy.
• Pusher: the app uses Pusher to maintain real-time connections for live scoring and challenge updates. No personal data is stored by Pusher beyond connection metadata.

8. Your rights

You can request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of your personal data, and object to specific processing where applicable. You can also request a copy of your data where legally required.
