Yes. Schedule each waypoint, prompt or message to release at a specific time, or to unlock only when the previous one is completed. Mystery tours stay a mystery until the next coordinate appears. Or hand out everything up front, if that fits the format better.
Do we have to make it competitive?
Not at all. The speed bonus, scoring and any kind of competition are completely optional. Plenty of organizers run it purely as an interactive way to share the route, the stories and the moments along the way. Add a leaderboard only if your crews would enjoy it.
Can we plan messages and content releases in advance?
